Sempervivum

Sempervivum succulents are very popular because they are such hardy plants. The name Sempervivum means “Live Forever”, derived from the Latin semper (“always”) and vivus (“living”). Their name is a nod to their hardiness as a plant because they keep their leaves in winter and is very resistant to difficult growing conditions.
